2020 Africa Opportunity Breakfast in Ottawa

The Chamber welcomed policy makers and industry leaders for cutting-edge forecasts and projections on African markets at the Africa Opportunity Breakfast. Keynote speaker and Africa expert Mukani Moyo of McKinsey addressed members and guests on March 13, 2020 at the Rideau Club.

While the presentation delivered contains proprietary data and projections, McKinsey’s publicly available Africa Reports are here and highly recommended. The firm’s latest on COVID-19 is also available.

Global Affairs Canada's Director General for Pan African Affairs, Paula Caldwell-St Onge opened the event with remarks congratulating The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business for its work this year alone on-the-ground in four African markets.

In conclusion, Chamber President Garreth Bloor also highlighted the Business Council on Canada’s recent Africa report, which has been shared with the country’s top 150 CEOs. it is available for download.

The Business Council of Canada and The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business will be announcing plans soon for a joint-event exploring the insights, implications and opportunities arising from the report.
