The African continent is rich in clean energy sources. Canada has been a leading partner for financing the immense opportunities; including through the IFC's Blended Finance Department, among numerous public and private initiatives.
On Tuesday 26 January 2021 we discussed mobilizing private capital flows into clean energy ventures, from early-stage companies to large-scale projects.

Keynote: Kruskaia Sierra-Escalante, Senior Manager of the IFC's Blended Climate Finance Department.
Kruskaia leads oversees multi-billion dollar Blended Finance operations at IFC, including approximately $700 million of funding provided by the Government of Canada to support climate-smart initiatives.

Ladé is a seasoned development finance professional with over 17 years of experience. She previously served as Technical Adviser to the former Minister of Finance of Nigeria and was the Head of the Strategic Monitoring Unit.
