Princesse Tshitende

2026 University Research Fellow

Princesse Tshitende Kapinga was born on July 27, 2006, in Boma, Democratic Republic of Congo. A proud Congolese student and emerging young professional, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Finance at the University of Ottawa.

Princesse is passionate about peace, respect, and personal growth. She believes that a meaningful life is shaped not only by visible achievements, but also by the challenges one overcomes and the resilience developed along the way. Her journey reflects determination, humility, and a strong commitment to learning.

Alongside her studies, Princesse is a co-shareholder of Elephant Trade SARL, the future Chief Financial Officer of 4T, and a fellow at the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. One of her proudest achievements to date was successfully helping resolve a regulatory issue during her internship in 2024, an experience that strengthened her confidence and professional outlook.

Throughout her education, Princesse has been known as a high-achieving and dedicated student. Her first year at university brought an important period of personal reflection, as she encountered challenges that tested her confidence and required her to grow in new ways. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her negatively, she used them as motivation to learn, improve, and continue moving forward.

Today, Princesse is focused on building a strong foundation for her future in finance, business, and leadership. She hopes to create a legacy that will one day inspire others, especially young people who are learning to turn challenges into strength and ambition into meaningful impact.

“I would like to recognize the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business for convening leaders from across Canada and Africa to advance investment, trade, and partnership—connecting businesses and institutions to drive practical collaboration and shared growth.”
