Toye Abioye coordinates the business development activities of the Chamber - bringing in new members and sponsors - as well as leading on the organization's growing number of partnerships. He assists with the development, management and evaluation of cross-sector partnerships amongst Chamber members, including partnership with the McGill MasterCard Foundation (MCF); implementing programs on opportunities to facilitate the transition of MCF Scholars and Alumni into the workforce for impact across Africa.
A highly motivated, self-directed professional with years of business-to-business development experience with strong focus on identifying and developing business opportunities with organizational and client needs, growing brands, and developing profitable and long-term B2B relationships. Prior to his current role he served as Social Media Officer to the Chamber.
Toye’s excellent communication, presentation, administrative, documentation and social media engagement skills have found expression in in-class facilitation, coaching and mentoring across Africa and in North America.
He has relevant business experience working with blue-chip companies across the African continent. He has participated in, and presented at events of the Southern Africa- Canada Chamber of Commerce, The Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), The Southern Africa- German Chamber of Commerce. He has facilitated business and trade visits with the Department of Trade and Industry, South Africa; led business delegations from South Africa to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos, Nigeria on behalf of the JCCI.
He is an accredited facilitator, executive coach and management consultant with qualifications in Applied Business Management and Administration, International Relations, African Politics, and International law and Diplomacy.
