"The Democratic Republic of Congo is a major country market and we are delighted to make this announcement," said Garreth Bloor, President of The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. "The role of the DRC in the next 30 years of our work, as a key market for Canada-Africa trade and investment, is vital and hard to overstate".
A first Official VIP Visit to the DRC in February 2024 was a great success, which comprised a program in the Lualaba Province, where Governor Fifi Masuka Saini welcomed Canadian delegates. In turn, the Canada-Africa Chamber welcomed the Governor and her delegation for a 4-day program in June 2024 here in Canada.
The DRC's esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner, had Bilateral Engagements with the Canada-Africa Chamber members in September, ahead of Africa Accelerating 2024, which was also followed by the Canada-Africa Chamber hosting the African Union Commission Bilateral and VIP Reception for members and sponsors in October.

''The Democratic Republic of Congo is widely considered to be the richest country in the world regarding natural resources; its untapped deposits of raw minerals are estimated to be worth in excess of U.S. $24 trillion.''

’The challenges the Democratic Republic of Congo has faced are not unique to the DRC. With proven reforms we've researched, there is no reason the Democratic Republic of Congo could not become one of the most economically free and prosperous nations on earth.’’
