On the occasion of the 51st G7 Meeting in Kananaskis, Alberta, The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business will host the Forum for Canada-Africa Partnerships. Further details to follow including the venue and confirmation of the date and program.
The role of the G7, to which Canada assumed the Presidency this year, has been a discussion at numerous, including Day 3 of Africa Accelerating this past November (represented by South Africa, who hold the G20 Presidency), as well the Canada-US Forum for African Partnerships in Washington, DC - where major projects in a G7 were under discussion, most notably the Lobito Corridor.
As holder of the G7 Presidency, Canada has committed to ensure "everyone shares in the benefits of free and open commerce" to help ensure "everyone shares in the benefits of free and open commerce". Concurrently economic resilience and inclusive growth are key G20 objectives this year.
