Mahvish Batool brings a diverse background spanning accounting, finance, business, and education.
Ms. Batool currently serves as an Accounts Specialist at SDF Consulting (Canada), our accounting partner and a Diamond Sponsor of The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business. Her work encompasses full-cycle accounting for various clients of SDF. Her work at the firm includes - but is not limited to: providing operational support to the Chamber, recording financial transactions, posting entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, managing invoices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Mahvish Batool's specializations include ERP systems and accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Xero System.
During her tenure as a Finance Executive at Metro Group, Ms. Batool's responsibilities involved cash flow management, budget preparation implementation of internal control systems, and business development. At Metro Group, she was part of a unique project where the firm collaborated with an Australian NGO, the Market Development Facility, to uplift the local farmers of underdeveloped countries. ''This experience allowed me to contribute to a meaningful endeavor that positively impacted communities in need,'' says Ms Batool, reflecting on the experience.
Her career journey spanning several impactful roles - including as a Course Instructor, Freelance Accountant, and Finance Executive, she enhanced her skills in teaching, financial analysis, and business development.
With a Master's degree in Applied Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of Central Punjab, she has cultivated a strong foundation in financial management and business.
