Last Year's Luncheon: May 1, 2025

Networking at the 2025 Members' Capital Luncheon The 2025 Members' Capital Luncheon at the Royal Ottawa

On May 1st, 2025, together with our members, the Chamber welcomed leaders from the Government of Canada and representatives of over two dozen African Governments to our annual luncheon at the Royal Ottawa in Gatineau, Quebec. The theme, The Africa Strategy - The Role of Members in Delivering Market-Driven Growth, followed the Government of Canada's launch of Canada's Africa Strategy: A Partnership for Shared Prosperity and Security in March 2025, and the Chamber's role in mobilizing private sector involvement was a key part of the discussions.

Focused on the role of the private sector in trade and investment, the Chamber's leadership presented key areas of Chamber work, with case studies on each: the Canada-Africa Business Conferences; the annual Africa Accelerating program; Africa at PDAC with MineAfrica Inc; In-Bound Missions to Canada; ongoing member events and engagements across Canada and African markets; and the Chamber's Think Tank, including our AfCFTA Unit in Accra and our annual African Union bilateral for members.

Since last year's luncheon, the Chamber has delivered programs including the 4th Canada-Africa Business Conference in Lusaka, the 5th Canada-Africa Business Conference in Windhoek and the 6th Canada-Africa Business Conference in Lagos. Read the full recap of the 2025 luncheon, or view our upcoming and recent events.
