The Africa CEO Forum Canada Program: May 11-14, 2025: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
The Africa CEO Forum is the continent’s largest annual event dedicated to the private sector, bringing together over 2,800 business leaders, investors, policymakers, and influential figures from around the world (Africa CEO Forum).
Major announcements during the forum included the Chamber's new agreement with the Africa Prosperity Network (APN), signed and witnessed at the Canadian Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire, during the Official Canadian Reception on the eve of the Africa CEO Forum.
The strategic Memorandum of Understanding with APN, signed on Sunday, establishes a framework for collaboration, event reciprocity, and new joint initiatives to accelerate Canada-Africa trade and investment. Read the Media Release
The concluding announcement included the President of the Republic of Zambia's opening of the 5th Canada-Africa Business Conference. President Hakainde Hichilema will open the two-day program on 29 September at the InterContinental Lusaka, during the Official Opening Ceremony, underscoring the country’s commitment Canadian and international trade and investment. Organized by the Jeune Afrique Media Group and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the forum focuses on driving economic growth and sustainable development in Africa by fostering dialogue between the public and private sectors. It features discussions on leadership, digital transformation, regional economic integration, and innovative financing strategies.
The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business was delighted to partner in delivery of the Official Canadian Reception and networking program, to which all members were warmly invited. Supporting the call of the Canadian Embassy to Côte d’Ivoire, we encourage Canadian businesses to participate in the Africa CEO Forum to access rapidly growing markets and explore strategic partnerships in key sectors such as agribusiness, clean technologies, ICT, and infrastructure.
The Canada Program included a welcome reception for the Canadian delegation May 11th, bringing together the Ivorian business community and other guests at the Official Residence of the Canadian Ambassador in Côte d'Ivoire. The program concluded on May 14th and will also include a networking breakfast, B2Bs, a business panel and informal networking opportunities.
