26,926 people attended PDAC 2024 and it seemed like most of them were at our African events!
It was a great week in Toronto and we were delighted with the opportunity to showcase Africa as THE mining investment destination of choice.
The energy and excitement for Africa was on full display at our sell-out breakfast and seminar and at the Africa pavillion at the PDAC Trade Show. Check out the photo galleries below.
We had 52 speakers and 515 attendees throughout the morning at The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business 25th Annual African Mining Breakfast & MineAfrica’s 22nd Annual Investing in African Mining seminar on March 5 at the Sheraton Hotel. A big thank you to our major partners Hatch, B2Gold and Osino Resources.
We were pleased to have The Hon. Samuel A. Jinapor, MP, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Republic of Ghana as our opening speaker. Our keynote speaker Peter Marrone, Chairman and CEO, Allied Gold, delivered an inspiring and well-received talk on “Mining in Africa: Encouraging Mining Opportunities to Promote Economic Development” and “Allied Gold: Africa’s Fastest Growing Gold Producer”.
Our partner MineAfrica Inc had six breakout rooms with country, regional and topical spotlights featuring country overviews by African Mining Ministers, project updates by mining CEO’s and presentations on current trends in African mining by expert advisers. Download the presentations.
Download the Program and African Directory which details our partner and speaker profiles – a who’s who of African and Canadian mining leaders and a great resource for doing business in Africa’s mining industry.
The MineAfrica pavillion at the PDAC Trade Show from March 3-6 featured the following exhibitors: ARSP (L’autorité de Régulation de la Sous-traitance dans le secteur privé RDCongo), Burkina Faso Ministry of Energy, Mines and Quarries, Chad Ministry of Mines and Geology, Elephant Trade-Services, Guinea Ministry of Mines & Geology, MineAfrica Inc., Morco Services, République démocratique du congo minstrè des mines, Sonamines (National Mining Corporation of Cameroon), Stamico (Tanzania), and Zimbabwe Investment & Development Agency.
We have three photo galleries for you. Check them all out. You may be in there! And feel free to download them. Thank you Blake Chorley Photography.
