Lizaan Pelser joined Ivanhoe Mines at the start of 2022 where she works as the Sustainability and Executive Support Assistant. She coordinates the four executives’ meetings and diaries at the Sandton office and assists the Sustainability Department in coordination and data capturing.
After studying Musical Theatre at the Waterfront Theatre College in Cape Town for four years, and obtaining a Licentiate in Speech and Drama, through Trinity College in London, she decided to broaden her horizons. Whilst au-pairing in San Francisco she underwent an Event Management Course through Stratford College in America. Lizaan has always had a keen interest in community projects and enjoys her sustainability visits to Kamoa and Kipushi in which she adds value to the living conditions of the local Congolese population.
She values people and the importance of connecting people in the work place. She combines her ability to organise with her theatrical experience to bring people closer to each other. Under her lead, an internal book club and employee events have been carried out.
Lizaan loves being part of an environment that offers growth opportunities and challenges her continuously, while still considering the uniqueness of each individual employee.
