We look forward to an exciting month ahead following this past week's interactions and programs: including a testimony before the Canadian Senate, updates on our first-ever Canada-Africa Forum on Canada-US Collaboration in Washington, DC - as well as our 3rd Canada-Africa Business Conference in Harare, Zimbabwe, set for the end of September.
The Canada-Africa Anniversary Forum and VIP Reception in Toronto, May 7th at 17h30.

With a live performance from the legendary Lorraine Klaasen all can look forward to a magical evening, honouring those who have been integral to our work at various points during (and throughout) our thirty year history.
Premiere Doug Ford will join us in addition to Ministerial messages and the presence of private sector leaders, from executives to entrepreneurs - including many coming from the continent for this grand occasion.

The VIP Gala Reception, with headline sponsor Elephant Trade Services, will take place at The National Club in Toronto. Commencing at 5.30pm with keynote remarks, the evening includes great food, festivities and a celebration of three decades of work by remarkable individuals and companies.

For nearly 30 years The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business has been dedicated to accelerating Canada-Africa trade and investment through world-class networking and information-sharing events; during which time we have been fortunate to welcome distinguished speakers over the past thirty years, including world-leading CEOs, Heads of State and captains of industry. This year our 30th Anniversary keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Joe Lombard, Vice Chair of Hatch.

Welcoming a Ministerial address, Members of Congress and business leaders and strategic thinkers, we look forward to convening in Washington, DC. Canada-US collaboration to accelerate private sector partnerships across African markets is an opportunity to enable broader collaboration.

Update: Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development
The Chamber President and Board Chair appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on trade as expert witnesses last week. In addressing policymakers, on request of the Parliamentary body, the Chamber’s work on accelerating Canada-Africa trade and investment was shared, including event programming with various markets and with the African Union, through the African Continental Free Trade Secretariat – to which Mr. Sebastian Spio-Garbrah serves as the Chamber’s Special Envoy on the continent.
