Accelerating Canada's Role as a Premier Partner
We look forward to welcoming members and guests to Kolwezi for this exciting Official Visit, immediately following the Annual Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town. Canada's world-class service providers and potential JV partners will be have the opportunity to meet leading DRC companies and Canadian counterparts already in the DRC. Day 1: Thursday 8 February 2024
Depart Cape Town and arrive in Kolwezi
Evening Welcome Reception at the Katebi Beach Hotel with an Official Welcome by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Governor of the Province of Lualaba.
Day 2: Friday 9 February 2024
Site visits, including mining operations and Elephant Trade.
Day 3: Saturday 10 February 2024
Morning meetings at the hotel with local businesses and afternoon departures, including Ethiopian Airlines to Toronto via Addis Ababa (Arrival: 07:50 on Sunday 11 February in Toronto) and SA Airlink to Johannesburg.
We anticipate high-level messages from both sides of the Atlantic, the Chamber's leadership, top members and leading DRC companies - all convening in the dynamic city of Kolwezi, to underscore the vital role of Canada's private sector as a partner to the Lualaba Province and wider DRC.
Costs
As an invitation-only event open to members of the Canada-Africa Chamber and recommended or identified guests, the only program expenses for participants are hotel and airfare costs. Accommodation is $150 per night (USD) for 2 nights at the stunning local Katebi Beach Lodge resort.
