We are under two weeks to go until Africa Accelerating 2023 - gathering this year for three days on the theme of Accelerating Canada-Africa Trade and Investment: People, Partnerships and Policies, from 10-12 October 2023.
Opened by Prime Minister Trudeau, the program will welcome leaders in-person from the public and private sectors, including Canada's Trade and Exports Minister, The Hon. Mary Ng, African Ministerial counterparts, the Prime Minister of Lesotho, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo - alongside a host of private sector executives delivering on Canada-Africa trade and investment, including official business delegations from Kenya and the DRC.
Business leaders in energy, infrastructure, natural resources, financing, education and more will share their insights on the opportunities for companies of all sizes. The focus on partnerships includes the role of critical minerals in ensuring Canada-Africa trade and investment is locally transformative and global in impact.
Our financing focus includes a dedicated session - one of many within the 3 exciting days in Toronto, which will also include special announcements on new initiatives for accelerating Canada-Africa trade and investment.
We will be concluding the program with our VIP Closing Cocktail Reception on Thursday 12 October at 5pm.

Africa Economic Cooperation Strategy: 5 July 2023
To kick off this quarter, the Chamber was delighted to hold a special session on July 5th in Toronto - hosted at Gowling WLG and open to all - for dialogue around the latest announcements on the Canada-Africa Economic Cooperation Strategy.
